Just like at Yellowstone, time is starting to run out for snow enthusiasts at neighboring Grand Teton National Park.
The Park has announced this past Friday (March 10th) was the last day that the 14-mile section of Grand Teton Road will be groomed.
The section is between the Taggart Lake Trailhead and the Signal Mountain parking area.
Teton Park Road will remain open until March 20th, and then snow removal operations will begin.
Visitors to the park will not be allowed to access that section of road when that happens.
Once the road is cleared, it will not reopen to motor vehicle traffic until May 1st, but other activities will be permitted beforehand such as cycling, roller skating, skateboarding, roller skiing, walking, jogging and leashed pet walking.
The opening dates of other roads within Grand Teton National Park are dependent on weather, snow, plowing progress, wildlife activity and road conditions.
