NLI SIGNING AT SHS – A Sheridan high school senior who competes in two sports has made her college decision, and the school has recruited her in both events, jaylynn morgan has signed her letter of intent to compete in track and field, in particular the discus and javelin events, at Colorado Mesa University, located in Grand Junction.
She has also been invited to walk-on the women’s swimming team, like most multi-sport athletes, she explains how she uses one sport to help prepare for the other.
Jaylynn says she’s been throwing since she was in 6th grade and has been swimming since she was 7 years old.
She added she plans to major in exercise science and pursue a career in physical therapy
COWGIRL BASKETBALL – The Wyoming cowgirls will play in the WNIT, their first round game will be played in the Double “AA” Friday when they host Texas A&M Corpus Cristi.
We will have the game for you live on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM Cowgirl pregame starts at 6:00 with the tip at 6:30.
ALL STATE BASKETBALL – Class 4A all state basketball teams have been announced two Sheridan high school players made the all state first team for the Broncs it’s Cael Hamrick and from the Lady Broncs it’s Alli Ligocki
SPRING SPORTS – The start of our the Wyoming high school spring sports season in Sheridan is up in the air as the school continues to remove heavy snow and ice from the playing surfaces at Homer Scott stadium Sheridan high school is scheduled to host a track meet tomorrow.
The Sheridan high school soccer teams are scheduled to host Buffalo Friday and those games are in doubt as well.
AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – The American legion baseball season takes to “Rottelini” field at Thorne- Rider stadium the Troopers are schedule to open the season at home April 16th with a double header against Powell.
The Sheridan jets will open April 23rd, the Sheridan Cavalry will open open May 5th and the Sheridan Infantry team will start their season May 7th.
ROCKIES BASEBALL – Live coverage of the Colorado Rockies starts with the “Rox” opening the regular season with a four game road series at San Diego March 30th at 2:00, Rockies baseball can hear live on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
