TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers will open the American Legion baseball season with a double header at Powell Sunday afternoon with “Rotellini” field at Thorne-Rider stadium not ready for games yet.
Troopers first year Head coach Austin Cowen says even though they can’t play in town this week it’s great to be looking ahead to finally getting outside and getting prepped for a game.
And over the next several weeks it’s about being ready to start the full schedule in late May and June.
And finally today Cowen says they want to be ready to compete with the best programs in the state.
Next weekend on Saturday and Sunday the Troopers will host round robin games with Post 6 from Cheyenne and the Billings Scarlets.
We will broadcast Trooper home games this season on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM and once again we will feature the games live on our video web stream and sheridanmedia.com.
SOCCER – The Lady Bronc soccer team will make-up their game at Cheyenne East on tomorrow, then make-up their home game vs. Laramie on Saturday, but that game will be played in Douglas, and then they make-up their game at Thunder Basin Monday.
The Broncs are off for the rest of the week and play at Thunder Basin high school Monday.
TRACK / FIELD – The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams will compete at a big invitational in Rapid City tomorrow.
Next week on Tuesday Sheridan high school host the annual “Gary Benson” Border War invitational and next week on Saturday they host the annual “Dan Hansen” invitational.
ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies are off today and will open a road series at Seattle tomorrow night at 8:10 you can hear Rockies baseball this season live on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
