Sheridan Police Department Captain Tom Ringley and Lieutenant Dan Keller recently spoke on the SPDs role during events held in Sheridan.
During a recent appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Ringley said timing plays a factor when requesting the PD’s insight on event organization.

Recently the Downtown Sheridan Association held the season’s first 3rd Thursday event, resulting in a large turnout of residents and visitors. Keller said nothing of note occurred requiring officers to intervene during the celebration and patrol officers enjoy attending the event.
Ringley said the SPD is now preparing for the upcoming Sheridan WYO Rodeo. The SPD Captain said the PD plays no part in planning but acts more as advisors during a briefing process regarding the rodeo events planning. Ringley also advises the public to know the alternate route the parade will be forced to take this year due to the construction taking place on Sheridan’s Main Street.
