The Sheridan WYO Rodeo was founded in 1931. Listed as one of the top rodeos in the U.S. and known by some as Sheridan’s homecoming as locals and visitors from across the globe gather year after year to celebrate the west and experience some of the best rodeo in the world.
The Sheridan WYO Rodeo kicks off on July 11. This year, the rodeo will feature four nights of PRCA, WPRA and World Championship Indian Relay races running Wednesday, July 12, through Saturday, July 15.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Vice President of the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Board Hayden Heaphy said the board is optimistic each year that every ticket will be sold. This year, some nights at the rodeo have already sold out, but there are still tickets available.

With the popularity of the WYO Rodeo growing among major rodeo events held throughout the U.S., ticket sales rates have increased, especially on opening dates, according to Heaphy.
