News – Sheridan Media
Many nonprofit organizations are taking part in WyoGives, a statewide 24-hour online fundraising event designed to bring the state together as one community to raise money and awareness for Wyoming’s nonprofits.
Executive Director of the Sheridan WYO Theater, Erin Butler, made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to inform the public of the intention of WyoGives and talk a little more on what WYO PLAY is and has done in the community.

Butler and the WYO Theater are advocating for WYO PLAY, an education initiative of the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center. The initiative is a dynamic series of educational programs aimed at all age groups in creative, collaborative, and playful artmaking.

WYO PLAY has proven to be very successful, according to Butler. Through partnerships with the school districts, WYO PLAY has the opportunity to teach theater and much more to students in the schools. Partnerships with the HUB on Smith has given rise to creative programs aimed at the senior community as well. See the full list of programs developed and supported by WYO PLAY, here.
The platform can be found at WyoGives.org on July 12. For 24-hours, donations can be made to many of Wyoming’s nonprofits. Donations are taken anytime within the 24-hour period.
People can visit WyoGives.org on July 12, and choose the nonprofits that speak to the causes they believe in and make a gift.
