2023 WYO RODEO – The Sheridan WYO rodeo continues today, this morning slack begins at 9:00 am and will run all day, the first performance of this year’s WYO will start tonight at 7:00.

GOLF – Sheridan high school graduate Sam Spielman is competing this week in the PGA high school golf national invitational in Frisco, Texas.
It was a tough day in Frisco yesterday with scores soaring Sam shot 73 in the first round and posted 77 in round two still in the top 20 in 16th place, the final round will be played today.
TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers regular season will end with four league double headers on the road, they start tomorrow with games in Gillette, then to Rock Springs Saturday then to Cheyenne for games with the Hawks and Sixers on Sunday and Monday.
The Wyoming state double “AA” tournament opens on the 24th in Jackson.
SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL NLI – A 2023 Sheridan high school graduate has jumped his way into an athletic scholarship.
Casen Wilson has signed his National Letter of Intent to compete on the track and field team at Black Hills state university.
He will participate in the long jump and triple jump events and considering majoring in mathematics.
Wilson says he likes both the individual and the team aspect that track and field has to offer.
SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL – The new “Field Turf’ at Homer Scott stadium is just about ready for football and a new lighting system is being installed this week, the Sheridan high school booster club will host their annual fundraising golf tournament Sunday at the Powder Horn.
Sheridan high school Activities Director Casey Garnhart says they still have some openings for the tournament and it’s a great way to end WYO rodeo week.
ROCKIES BASEBALL – The MLB all-star game was be played last night the National League won 3-2, Rockies catcher Elias Díaz hit a two-run homer off Félix Bautista in the eighth inning, and the national league snapped a nine-game losing streak in the all-star game with a 3-2 win over the American League.
