The director for one of the nonprofit agencies that receives GPET funds from the City of Sheridan, provided an update on the agency at this week’s Sheridan City Council meeting. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Second Chance Cat Rescue Update
Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue Executive Director Rachel Kristiansen, during her update to the Council and Mayor Rich Bridger, said the nonprofit is doing well despite dealing with certain price increases.

Kristiansen said in the past 12 months they’ve adopted out 305 cats and taken in 345.

Kristiansen said of the stray cats they received in the last year, 31 percent came from within the City limits while the remainder came from within the County. The City Council, at their March 6 business meeting, approved allocating $60,000 of GPET funds to Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue.
