Buffalo Alley Project Engineer Brent Bennett, with Nelson Engineering, spoke with the city council at their last meeting to update them on the project’s status.
Bennett said the project is in its final stages and will be wrapping up soon.
The alley behind the Sports Lure west of Main Street has been poured is open to foot traffic and was expected to be open to vehicle traffic soon, once the concrete was properly cured.
The contractor has also poured the alley east of Main Street and north of the creek and it is also open to foot traffic while it cures.
The section of alley behind First Northern Bank is complete and open to all traffic.
The roughly $305,000 project is in preparation of WYDOT’s Buffalo Main Street reconstruction project coming in 2024.
