News – Sheridan Media

During their last meeting the Sheridan County Commission voted to ratify the Certificate of Final Completion for the Brooks Street Paving and Retaining Wall project.

Final completion was certified as of August 3 of this year.

The retaining wall and paving project, or Phase I of the overall project, comprised of a retaining wall, grading, utility trenching and relocation, a concrete sidewalk replacement and concrete paving.

Wagner Ranch Services, LLC was the contractor on the project for a bid of approximately $650,000.

Phase II, or the Brooks Street Greenspace Project, was awarded to Northern Underground, LLC for an approximate bid amount of $2.25 million.

The second phase will include sidewalk and pathway, a retaining wall, lighting, landscaping and amenities.

According to an earlier Sheridan Media story, the initial Notice to Proceed was given earlier this summer to include the initial retaining wall design, shop drawing preparation and review, a decision on the location for a backup generator, as well as the ordering and approval of equipment and materials.

After the second Notice to Proceed is approved, work stoppage will happen in late 2023 until the spring of 2024, with substantial completion scheduled for October of 2024.
