CHG Powder River Fall Colors Tour

The 2023 Powder River Fall Colors Tour by the Clearmont Historical Group will be on Saturday, September 16. Ira Roadifer will talk about the history of the area from Clearmont to the Reynolds Battlefield Site near the old town of Moorhead, Montana.

The tour will leave Clearmont and travel southeast on Thompson Creek Road, and then drop down to the Crazy Woman Creek area. Taking the back road, the tour will go into Arvada, where Roadifer will talk about history of rail town of Suggs, forerunner of Arvada.

From Arvada, the tour will continue up the Powder River Road towards Brodus, Montana. The tour will proceed to the Moorhead Recreation site for a picnic lunch and then on to the Reynolds Battlefield site.

Cost is $40 per person which included the lunch. Space is limited on the tour, and for more information stop by the Clearmont Historical Center or call Ira Roadifer at 307-758-4625.
