City Council Approves Winter Rodeo Resource Allocation and Second Reading of Ordinance to Rezone Properties on Dry Ranch Road

The Sheridan City Council at their business meeting Monday night approved a $5,000 resource allocation for the 2024 Sheridan WYO Winter Rodeo. There are a number of activities scheduled for the winter rodeo with the featured event being skijoring, which will take place February 10 at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. 
The Council approved on second reading an ordinance to rezone two properties on Dry Ranch Road. City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer said the addresses being rezoned are 2530 and 2580 Dry Ranch Road.

The Council also awarded a three-year contract, in the amount of $189,939, to Clean Harbors Environmental and Industrial Services for household hazardous waste disposal services. Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce CEO Dixie Johnson and Sheridan County Travel and Tourism Executive Director Shawn Parker provided updates to the City Council on their respective organizations.
