Sheridan Trooper Cael Hamrick Signs NLI To Play Baseball At Hutchinson CC

A Sheridan Trooper baseball player will continue to play at the collegiate level.

Cael Hamrick has signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas.

In 2023 he helped the Troopers to a 41-23 record and get the #1 seed for the state tournament.

Hamrick says he likes the fact that the Blue Dragons actively pursued him and they liked the role that he plays on the team.

“They recruit me to play shortstop which is kind of the leader of the team in some parts of the game, saw me hit well. I just felt the love from them, they were always in contact with me, they recruited me pretty hard, they have a great facility, great team and great coaches.”

Hamrick adds he is considering majoring in optometry.
