The Johnson County School Board has approved and accepted their committee appointments for the coming fiscal year.
After holding elections to determine their officers moving forward, most committee assignments were continued as they were for 2024, with some necessary changes.
The changes included new Chairman Travis Pearson taking over former Chairperson Jan Johnson’s seat on the Buffalo High School Development Fund Committee, and the deletion of the Superintendent Evaluation Committee as their work has been completed.
The board as a whole will handle any associated duties on that committee if needed in the future.

BOCES Committee: Jan Johnson
BOCHES Committee: Dave Belus.
Recreation Board: Clerk Marcia Goddard.
Deliberation Committee: Chairman Travis Pearson, Kristen LeDoux, Lynette Fox.
Joint Powers Board Fuel Board Committee: Dave Belus.
Buffalo High School Development Fund Committee: Pearson.
Sheridan College Johnson County Advisory Committee: Pearson.
District Advisory Committee: Fox, Goddard.
Policy Committee: Johnson, Treasurer Casey Rodriguez, Pearson.
Sick Leave Bank: Vice-Chair Jodi Verlanke.
ESSER III: Fox, LeDoux, Belus.
Superintendent Evaluation Committee: Removed.
