Jo Co Commission Meets New County EMC

Johnson County’s new Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC) was presented to the county commission during their last regular meeting.

Outgoing EMC Marilyn Connolly introduced Jimmy Cataline and he spoke about himself and his qualifications to the commission.

Connolly announced earlier this year that she would be retiring and her official last day on the job will be February 29.

Last month, Commissioner Bill Novotny said the county had extended an offer to a “very qualified” individual and submitted the name to Governor Mark Gordon for his approval.
