SCLT and Bighorn Mountains Grotto want to take you in Tongue River Cave

Community Land Trust Recreation Program Manager Jared Koenig made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to announce an upcoming Discovery Session that will have attendees exploring the Tongue River Cave.

According to Koenig, attendees will learn how to safely and sustainably explore caves – known as spelunking – from SCLT Koenig and volunteers from the Bighorn Mountains Grotto. 

This Discovery Session will feature a classroom workshop and field excursions where they will explore the Tongue River Cave.

Participants must attend classroom training to participate in the field excursions. Participants under 18 must complete classroom training and be accompanied by a parent or guardian who has also attended the classroom training. This Discovery Session is free to attend.

Classroom session is 6–7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the SCLT Big Goose Natural Area. Field Excursions to the Tongue River Cave will be March 9 and the 16.
