Sheridan residents have told city leadership that parks and pathways are the number one aspect of the city that they enjoy about the city.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, City of Sheridan Parks Director Steve Gage said in his 14 years with the Parks Department he has seen the public’s love of parks and pathways first hand.
Hired as the supervisor of the then, Parks Division, Gage said under former Sheridan Mayor, Sen. Dave Kinskey, there was a push to expand the parks and pathways for the community.
Since that time, Sheridan residents and visitors have changed the way they recreate and enjoy leisurely time in the now expanded parks and pathway system.

According to Sheridan’s Parks Director, even he didn’t realize the full impact pathways have on the public until people were forced to isolate and maintain spacing during the pandemic.
