Sheridan County’s Commissioners considered the approval of a Quitclaim Deed on county property to the City of Sheridan for a proposed Police Park to be established on.
County Administrative Director Cameron Duff explained that the county property is the open parking lot near the police station, coroner’s office and sheriff’s department.
The area is roughly 5,500 square feet where the park will be built.
Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger spoke to the commission, thanking them for considering the transfer of the property.
City Administrator Stu McCray gave more details and background on the plan for the Police Park.
Commissioners Nick Siddle, Lonnie Wright, and Tom Ringley all spoke in favor of the Police Park idea.
The commission approved the Quitclaim Deed for a $10 fee to be paid to the county by the city.
