The Bighorn National Forest Service announced that crews are replacing the Cedar Creek bridge on the Beef Trail 056 this summer. For public safety and to allow work to be completed without pause, an area including a portion of Trail 056 from its junction with Trail 055, via Forest System Road 264, to the junction with Cedar Creek will be temporarily closed, effective immediately. The portion of the Beef Trail 056 west from the junction with Cedar Creek and down to Highway 14 will remain open as will access to Trail 055.
Forest Service officials are asking the public to refrain from entering the closure area until it has reopened due to safety issues, as the contractor has started moving equipment into the area. The complete order and map can be accessed here.
