A request from Sheridan County to rezone the Sheridan County Fairgrounds was an item discussed by the Sheridan City Council at Monday’s study session. City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer says the County is requesting to rezone 42.61 acres from R-1 Residence District to B-1 Business District.

Mercer said the properties to the east, south, and west are primarily R-1 Residential properties, with some R-3 Residential properties as well.  The properties to the north consist of B-1 Business and PUD properties. First reading of the ordinance to rezone the Fairgrounds will be considered by the City Council at their next regular business meeting Monday, August 19.
