Residents will be able to dispose of their trash free of charge this weekend. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Free Landfill Day Set for Saturday
The fall free landfill day is Saturday, September 28 from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm at the City of Sheridan Landfill. All city and county residents can dispose of up to one ton of household trash at no charge per visit. Any materials that are not covered or tarped will be subject to a surcharge of $11 per load for cars and trucks and $50 for all other vehicles and trailers. Parker said that they will be accepting household hazardous waste during the free landfill day but compost and wood chips will not be loaded on Saturday.
