The Sheridan City Council met for their second regular business meeting of October Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richer has the details.
Council Tables Zoning Ordinance
A public hearing was held at Monday night’s Council meeting for an ordinance establishing proposed changes and amendments to the M-1 zoning district and the creation of a M-2 zoning district within the City. Following a number of public comments opposing the proposed ordinance, the Council, by a vote of 6-0, tabled the ordinance. City Planner Kelly Schroeder.

Other business from the meeting included the Council approving first reading of an ordinance adopting a Downtown Development District Overlay and a Downtown Business District Overlay. The Council also approved a resolution authorizing submission of an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant application to the U.S. Department of Energy.
