As The Jentel Artist Residency wraps up 2024, they are inviting the community to join them for the last Jentel Presents of the year. 

According to Jentel, the new cohort of residents are delighted to share their art and creativity with the Sheridan community. This community outreach program, featuring visual presentations and readings by the residents at the Jentel Artist Residency Program, will take place from 11:30 am – 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle in Sheridan. 

Light refreshments will be provided. Jentel invites the community to bring your lunch and enjoy this presentation. Jentel Presents is open to all who wish to join.

This month’s presenters include Nithila Arumugam from Brooklyn, NY. A nonfiction writer; Arumugam lives with her green couch and spends much time drinking tea. 

Junichiro Ishida is a painter. Ishida was at Jentel about 10 years ago and was fascinated by the landscape of Wyoming. Since then, he has been painting the landscape of WY.

 Genevieve Waller from Littleton, CO. An interdisciplinary artist; Waller is an artist, curator, writer, and college radio DJ who grew up in Wichita, KS.

Carolyn Austin from Riverview, FL. A fiction writer, Austin’s grandmother prophesied to many. Her mother prayed for whoever asked. Now, Carolyn shares her journey through her books, demonstrating how prayer changes things. 

Dustin Hunt is a painter. Michigan’s upbringing honed Hunt’s artistry via graffiti and formal education. Hosting hip-hop showcases his cultural passion.

The Jentel Artist Residency Program accepts applications twice a year from visual artists in all media and writers in all genres for a three-week residency. A residency includes comfortable accommodation; common living, dining, and recreation areas; a private workspace, and a stipend to help defray expenses during the program.
