Johnson County’s Commissioners have approved and accepted a grant from the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security for ballistic film to be installed on the county judicial/justice center.

Jennifer Jackson, representing the county sheriff’s department, spoke to the commissioners about the grant during their last regular meeting.

According to Jackson, the current grant should be enough to fund about half of the project, which will begin on the judicial center and then, when the second portion of funding is approved, move on to the justice center in the future.

The first phase of the project is expected to begin in the spring of 2025.
