Sheridan Commission Backs Broadband Funding Application

Sheridan County’s Commissioners ratified a Letter of Support for Visionary Broadband’s application to secure funding for improved broadband services in the county.

According to information from the county, Visionary is applying to the Wyoming Business Council for funding for the project through their Wyoming Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program to improve high-speed broadband internet access to rural parts of the county.

Visionary had requested a Letter of Support from the commission to add to their application.

In the letter, the commission said they support the application for funding, adding that broadband is essential for the continued vitality of and be a direct benefit for the community.
