Jo Co Commission Accepts Bid for Airport Grazing Lease

A bid opening was held during this week’s Johnson County Commission meeting for a lease of county-owned property adjacent to the airport that is used for grazing.

Two bids were submitted to the county, and Chairman Bill Novotny opened both at the meeting.

The bid from Joe Reiner was for $5,600 annually, while the second bid from 7M Livestock/Chasta Myers was for $5,330 per year.

The commission voted to accept the bid from Reiner for the lease of the property near the airport.
