City cleaning up an old mess at Sheridan Landfill

Sheridan City Councilmember Jack Wood and Director of Utilities Dan Roberts made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse and spoke on the large projects taking place at the Sheridan Landfill. 

Roberts gave a little background on the work being done.

According to Roberts, Project #1 is a “dig and flip” of an old, unlined cell. This project has been underway for some time with crews digging into the old cell for the past six weeks. The City reports this project is on schedule to be complete in the fall of 2025.

The City has chosen to take a different approach for Project #2, which will consist of installing a dewatering system for the Old Landfill.

According to the City, Project #2 will likely go to bid sometime in 2026.
