Buffalo’s City Council, at their regular meeting Tuesday evening, voted to continue a decision on the allocation on city funds to the One-Percent Committee.
Councilman Scott Madsen made the suggestion for the continuance, and explained why he thought it was a good idea.
Councilman Wes Haskens seconded the motion, saying he was also not comfortable putting a number out for the allocation at this time.
The council voted to continue the decision on Resolution No. 1490 until their meeting on Tuesday, March 4.
The Optional One Cent Sales Tax is collected on behalf of the city and county, with a portion of the funds earmarked for local organizations or governmental agencies to apply for to help pay expenses or to make needed purchases.
