Sheridan County Conservation District Executive Director Carrie Rogaczewski and US Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service District Conservationist Andrew Cassiday made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to discuss the Working Lands Collaborative 2025 workshop series.
The Working Lands Collaborative and the workshop series was developed for and by the people and organizations that work with and on the lands in the Sheridan Region.
Cassiday said these workshops have become an anticipated yearly event for landowners and ag producers.

Past workshops have covered topics related to soil health and adaptive grazing principles. All members of the public are invited to register to attend these workshops.
Rogaczewski said the intense wildfire season of 2024 caused many landowners and stakeholders to seek information on the impact of wildfires on working lands and the producers that manage those landscapes.
The 2025 workshop will provide information on building resilience in the operation (through planning) and the landscape (through management), understanding how agencies and emergency personnel approach a fire, and how rebuilding can be an opportunity, Rogaczewski said. Speakers will also touch on insurance and financial considerations.
Registration is required and the deadline to register is March 1. Cost is $25 per person, a limited number of student scholarships are available.
The workshop’s field day is planned for a tentative date in June and will require a separate registration once that date is announced.
