The Brinton Museum is proud to present its 20th Illustrator Show featuring Apsáalooke/Crow artist Linda Pease from Billings, Montana. This exhibition opened February 6 in the S.K. Johnston, Jr. Family Gallery and continues through April 7.

Curator of exhibits Barbara McNab talked about Pease’s artwork.

Pease comes from a remarkable lineage of artists spanning eight generations. Her art keeps the stories of the Apsáalooke People alive, drawing on childhood memories, cultural traditions, and significant moments in history. Using oils, acrylics, watercolors, mixed-media materials, and antique ledger paper her art tells visual stories of battles, ceremonies, dances, and the strength of family.

There will be an Artist’s Reception on Friday, March 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Brinton. This event is free and open to the public.
