On April 1, The Sheridan Community Land Trust announced that its SCLT Explore History program for April will be “A Tribute to the Life of the Legendary George Ostrom.”
Join SCLT History Program Manager Kevin Knapp for a program featuring George Nicholas Ostrom (1888-1982), a multifaceted individual who made significant contributions in various fields. He served as a soldier, artist, bugler, wolf hunter, and conservationist. Ostrom is credited with creating the iconic bucking horse and rider symbol that has come to represent Wyoming.
This item from The Sheridan Enterprise, May 21, 1920, mentions Ostrom.

The SCLT Explore History will be held on Tuesday, April 8, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at The Hub on Smith in Sheridan, and again on Tuesday, April 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon., at the TRVCC in Dayton.
SCLT Explore History is free to attend and open to all. For more information, visit https://sheridanclt.org/events.
