The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has announced the second annual Wyoming Governor’s Sportsperson Conservation Forum, hosted by Governor Mark Gordon alongside the Game and Fish, will be held May 21, at the National Museum of Military Vehicles in Dubois.

According to the Department, this event will build on the success of the inaugural event in 2024, serving as a platform to discuss Wyoming’s most critical conservation issues, while fostering a comprehensive exchange of ideas among the state’s leadership, stakeholders and conservation groups.

“In Wyoming we love the outdoors,” Gordon said. “Sportsmen and women have a powerful voice as well as the desire and ambition to confront Wyoming’s biggest conservation challenges head-on with the aim of making things better. The momentum that has developed over the last year since the first Sportsperson Conservation Forum is real, and evident by the way the community is formalizing and organized. I invite all in Wyoming who are passionate about the topics that impact our outdoors and wildlife to join me at the Forum to be part of these conversations.”

Throughout the day, discussion panels will provide informative presentations, interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions.

This year’s four themes will focus on:

Sportspeople driving decision making

Outdoor recreation and conservation

Keeping working lands working

Habitat work and efforts.

Keynote speakers will include Gov. Gordon and Game and Fish Director Angi Bruce. Panels will be composed of Game and Fish experts, Wyoming legislators, and some of the state’s preeminent conservation leaders.

Tickets are available for purchase online by clicking on this link, and will include lunch for attendees. In-person attendance is encouraged. There is no virtual option for this event.
