Funding requests from local agencies for General Purpose Excise Tax funds from the City of Sheridan will soon be considered by the City Council. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
City Administrator Stu McRae presented details of the GPET applicants at this week’s Sheridan City Council study session. He talked about the number of applicants and the criteria to apply and receive funding.
McRae said that the City is projecting the revenue from the GPET to be approximately $4.9 million, which was what was projected last year.
The City Council will be considering the GPET applications at their next regular business meeting, Monday, April 21.
