The knights return to Sheridan

May 7, 2025

News – Sheridan Media

On July 26, The Knights of Valor are returning to compete in Sheridan during a one day medieval festival to benefit CHAPS Equine Assisted Services.

Returning this year will be The Knights of Valour. This team of jousters have been featured on History Channel and Tilt TV, led by Captain Shane Adams, a multiple-time World Champion in full-contact jousting. The Knights of Valour are the only full-contact troupe touring in North America.

CHAPS has organized the Tournament of Knights to raise funds for their programs and scholarships to ensure individuals get the equine assisted services that help many people with disabilities, veterans and others in the community.

Each year the tournament expands, adding new entertainment, shops and this year, education. Executive Director of CHAPS Equine Assisted Services, Kristen Marcus, made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to announce new and returning attractions to the Tournament of Knights.

The event will include a costume contest for the kids, bounce houses, dunk tank, stockade, fair vendors, food (including turkey legs), photos with the knights, displays of craftsmanship and vendors offering medieval and cosplay apparel.

Tickets are on sale now and purchases give all day access and are $20 for those 13 years and older, $10 for the kids. Kids 6 years and under are free with paid adult. Additional tickets are required for the Queen’s Feast and are limited. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or by clicking here

All proceeds from the event will help to fund the many programs and scholarships of CHAPS Equine Assisted Services.
