Recently the Wyoming Department of Transportation entered into an agreement with the City of Sheridan for the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Brundage Lane and Bighorn Avenue.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer said a study was conducted to determine the Level of Service required for the intersection to meet Sheridan’s future growth.

WYDOT will design the signal and the City will take ownership of the signal upon completion of construction. The City will be updating the corner while that signal is being installed to bring it up to current requirements.

According to discussions during a City Council meeting, the City and WYDOT will split the cost of the $1.26 million project. Mercer said that the installation of the traffic signal and ADA upgrades will most likely happen in 2027 or 2028.
