May brings flowers and the latest cohort of Jentel residents. Some come from far away while others are from the Cowboy State.
This month’s presenters include Kristin Hugo, Kemmerer, WY; A nonfiction writer; Hugo loves nature, science, and animals, dead and alive. She is a professional science journalist, photographer, and video maker.
Lars Roeder, Laramie, WY; A printmaker; Roeder grew up in Wisconsin and lived in Texas for 10 years before moving to Wyoming to teach printmaking at the University of Wyoming.
Rone Shavers, Salt Lake City, UT; A fiction writer; Shavers is a writer and academic who loves to travel. He is excited to experience Wyoming and looks forward to something new.
Matthias Neumann, Brooklyn, NY; A multidisciplinary artist; Neumann was born in Germany and has lived in Ireland, Italy, Canada, Greece, and the US. Matthias is a traveling nomad.
Abbi Ruppert, Owensboro, KY; A sculptor; Ruppert has adorable twin nieces (1 year old), Rhea & Nora, and she loves exploring the great outdoors with her adventure cat, Baby Rig.
Elise Adibi, Pittsburgh, PA; A painter; Adibi will be coming to Jentel after a “grand tour” of Europe, 2 months in Berlin and 1 month in Rome. Adibi will welcome the wild.
Jentel Presents provides the opportunity for these artists to share their visual artworks and writing with the Sheridan community. This event will take place 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle in Sheridan. Jentel invites the community to bring your lunch, cookies will be provided. Jentel Presents is open to all who wish to join.
