Buffalo Council Approves $6K for Chamber Visitor’s Center

A request from the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce for the city to contribute a share of funding to help open and operate the chamber’s Visitor’s Information Center was approved by the city council.

Mayor Shane Schrader spoke about the chamber’s request.

The funds from the city will be combined with $6,000 from the Johnson County Commission to fund the satellite Visitor’s Information Center near the Highway 16/Interstate 90 interchange east of town.

According to Chamber Director Amber Eggers, the visitor’s center will open for the season on Memorial Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and remain open through Labor Day.
