The Johnson County School Board was updated on projects at the district’s buildings by Facilities Director John Zink.
In this month’s written report, Zink touched on all the projects that will be getting underway this summer, which include the Buffalo High School boiler plant replacement. Boilers have been ordered and are expected to be delivered at the end of June, with work scheduled to begin July 1 and be completed by the end of July.
Also in the report was the update on the Kaycee HVAC project.
According to Zink, of the $4,473,673 that was allocated for this project, the district will have a $3.5 million budget for construction. Zink and the Project Manager met to go through through the RFP (Request For Proposal) for Professional Services. Bidding the project will be in January of 2026.
