Buffalo’s City Council has passed on second reading an Ordinance to approve their annual appropriation bill, or budget, for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
This year’s budget bill, passed on second reading, is set at just under $13 million, which is less than the council originally agreed to in their budget meetings, according toMayor Shane Schrader.
He explained that the amount had been reduced due to differences in insurance costs, bringing the total appropriation to $12,973,723.
He gave more details on the budget bill.
The council will need to pass Ordinance No. 1424 on one more reading before it takes effect.
