Wyoming Game and Fish Department Aquatic Invasive Species Specialist Reed Moore made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to invite the community to Kids Fishing Day.

Personnel will be available to answer questions pertaining to the fishing day or to fish related questions children and adults may have beginning at 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at The Bear Lodge Resort Pond is located Highway 14 and 14A at Burgess Junction.
According to Game and Fish, a Wyoming resident youth under 14 years of age does not need a Wyoming fishing license. Resident youth ages 14-17 can purchase a discounted annual youth license for $3.
Nonresident youth are welcome to participate but the regulations do differ. Nonresident children under 14 years of age do not need a fishing license, but must be accompanied by an adult with a valid Wyoming fishing license and share a creel limit. This event includes a free lunch provided by Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and Trout Unlimited. Please RSVP for the event Wyoming BHA Chapter website, giving the team an approximate number to prepare.
Participants should be prepared for fishing and mountain weather by bringing their own fishing rods and tackle, rain gear, layered clothing, snacks, coolers with ice for transporting fish, sunblock, and insect repellant.
