The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has released the latest update on the Buffalo Main Street reconstruction project, as of June 25.
On North Main Street from Hart Street to the I-90 interchange, paving of the wearing course will begin Monday, June 30.
Watch for traffic control, lane closures, and heavy truck traffic.
On South Main Street, the detour at Cemetery Creek is in place. Expect one-way traffic with a signal. Wait times are approximately two minutes. Motorists are asked to plan accordingly. Expect a reduced speed limit in that area. Watch for heavy truck traffic moving in and out of the work zone. Milling and full depth reclamation is ongoing from Parmalee to Brock in preparation for paving, expected to begin the week of July 7.
Paving is nearly complete in the Fort Street intersection. Watch for traffic control. The signal was expected to return to normal operation by June 26.
Utility work continues from Fort Street to Snider Street with contractors working on installing east side service lines. Expect lane closures, head-to-head traffic, flagging operations, heavy traffic and reduced speeds.
The signal at the Hart Street intersection is fully operational as of June 25. Some work remains to be completed at the intersection which will require the signal to return to a 3-way stop during that time, which is estimated to be 4 to 5 weeks out.
