Sheridan County’s Commissioners considered a contract between the county and the Wyoming Department of Health, Public Health Division, for the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) for 2025-2029.
County Administrative Director Cameron Duff gave details on the grant and what the funding is used for.
Duff said they had not yet received the amount of funding that will be designated for this year, but last year’s funding was nearly $280,000 with 60.5% going to Sheridan County, 25.4% to Big Horn County, and 14.1% to Johnson County.
Sheridan County processes the paperwork and distributes funding from the grant due to Big Horn and Johnson Counties not having staff to perform those duties.
The commission voted to approve and accept the Community Services Block Grant funding.
