WYDOT Buffalo Main Street Update for the Week of July 7

July 8, 2025

News – Sheridan Media

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) gave the latest update on the Buffalo Main Street project for the week of July 7.

On North Main Street from Hart Street to the I-90 interchange, paving on the wearing course is complete, and WYDOT will be striping this section under live traffic this week.

Watch for flagging operations and pilot cars during striping, and the speed limit will be low and slow to insure adequate time for the paint to dry. Motorists are asked to avoid crossing over freshly painted lines.

In the South Main Street area, work continues at Cemetery Creek.

Paving began Monday from Parmalee to Brock Street. Watch for lane closures, flagging operations, and haul trucks bringing in plant mix.

Utility work continues from Fort Street to Hart Street.

Be prepared for lane closures, head-to-head traffic, flagging operations, heavy traffic, and reduced speeds.

Driveways and approaches in this area may be closed for a limited time during paving prep and asphalt placement.

Looking ahead, paving of South Main Street from the Bypass to the Interstate 25 interchange will begin the week of July 14.

Paving from Parmalee to Fort Street is expected to begin within the month, with specific dates to be determined.
