Wyoming Independent Living (WIL) is a statewide center for independent living supporting individuals with disabilities. The 501(c)(3) operates under the philosophy that people with disabilities are experts in their own lives and should have autonomy, dignity, and independence.

WIL Executive Director Amy Burns recently appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, along with Program Manager JJ Sanchez, and Sheridan’s own Independent Living Specialist Cora Crecelius to reach out to the community to raise awareness about both the people they serve and the programs they provide. 

Burns said the organization is unique, as it is operated by the same residents it serves.
