The Magic of Books at the Tournament of Knights: Sheridan County Library Joins the Fun

July 24, 2025

News – Sheridan Media

Sheridan County Library System Community Engagement Manager Cassie Stone and Youth Services Manager Zola Shockley made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to invite everyone to visit the library’s booth at the CHAPS Tournament of Knights.

The Knights of Valor return to Sheridan on July 26, for a one-day medieval festival to benefit CHAPS Equine Assisted Services. The Sheridan County Library System will be there to fuel imagination and offer handmade crafts for sale, with proceeds supporting the library’s many programs.

The handmade crafts are part of a crafting program held throughout Sheridan by the library system.

While attending the Tournament of Knights, families can stop by the library’s booth and design a coat of arms, giving the little knights their own crest.

Children and their guardians will be able to stop by the Wyoming Room on Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon, to add to their coat of arms collection with another small craft that, according to the library, should only take ten minutes.
