Founders of the Ace in the Hole Players, Erin Kranz-Linden and Jay Arcarese, appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to introduce Sheridan’s newest theater troupe and promote their upcoming production of The Music Man.
Kranz-Linden and Arcarese said the troupe was born from a shared passion.

Dinner theaters were once common, especially in large cities and tourism-heavy areas. But as overhead costs rose, the format faded from the American stage. Now, the Ace in the Hole Players are partnering with local venues to revive this unique theatrical experience in Sheridan.
Their inaugural production, Trouble in the Bighorns, a western melodrama, debuted at the Kalif Shrine and involved a full slate of scriptwriting, musical direction, auditions, and performance.

As Trouble in the Bighorns closes, the troupe shifts focus to The Music Man. Kranz-Linden and Arcarese said it took time, effort, and a significant investment to secure the rights to produce the beloved Broadway musical.
The Music Man, which tells the story of a charming con man attempting to swindle the citizens of River City, is one of Kranz-Linden’s personal favorites.
