Johnson County’s Commissioners have set a date to convene a Board of Equaliztion (BOE) meeting.
Commission Chairman Bill Novotny made the announcement at a recent commission meeting.
According to www.johnsoncowy.gov, the assessment of residential properties are performed by the local County Assessor’s offices.
Those with concerns about their property tax assessments can file an appeal with the County Assessor no later than 30 days from the date of the Assessment Notice.
Those that do not agree with the County Board of Equalization’s decision may appeal to the State Board of Equalization.
The Next Johnson County BOE meeting will be Thursday, August 28 at 9 a.m. in the historic Courthouse.
