The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be hosting a women-only hunter education course will be offered in Sheridan, at The Hub on Smith Street on Friday August 22nd from 6 to 9pm as well as Saturday and Sunday, August 23rd and 24th from 8am to 3pm.
There is no minimum age restriction for participants, but course material is written at a fourth grade level.
Students 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Students must participate in every session and pass a test at the end in order to earn their hunter education certificate.
Cost for the class is $15 – $5 payable at time of registration and $10 payable the first night of class.
Course topics include hunting ethics and responsibility, firearm safety, relevant Wyoming wildlife statutes and regulations, wildlife identification, game care and outdoor safety.
Class size is limited with all registration done online on a first-come, first-served basis.
