At approximately 2:47pm on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, the Sheridan Police Department responded to a report of an accident with injuries at the intersection of W. Loucks and S. Brooks Streets.
Officers learned that a 95-year-old man operating a motorized wheelchair was struck by a semi truck while in the roadway.
The man was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital.
On Monday, August 18, 2025, investigators were notified that the victim succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision.
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
No further information is available.
The complete investigation will be submitted to the Sheridan County Attorney’s Office for review.
