Mavrakis Updates Jo Co Commission on Lake DeSmet Happenings

Lake DeSmet Operations Manager Paul Mavrakis was asked by the Johnson County Commission to give the latest on happenings at the lake and related issues concerning water and the new access to the lake.

Mavrakis also reported he had taken Commissioner Bill Novotny and County Attorney Tucker Ruby on a boat tour of the lake to look at the private docks that have been built there in recent years.

There will be future discussions by the advisory board and then the commission concerning the size and complexity of the docks that have been built on the lake, which Novotny said were not what was envisioned when the commission began to allow the docks to be constructed.
